ABOUT ME

My Story

My name is Andrew Huskey, otherwise known as ELEVNS.  Born and raised in Southern California, I spent my early years like most children: attending school, playing sports, and hanging out with friends.  And yet, even at a young age, I felt like something was missing.  I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was meant for a specific purpose, something beyond what they were teaching us in school.  As a result, I spent much of my early life in deep thought, always trying to connect the dots and remember what I was meant to be doing here.  Often, the only time I was able to set these thoughts aside was when I was listening to or playing music.

My first musical experience was at 5 years old, when my parents gave me a violin.  Playing classical music helped me develop an appreciation for the way smaller pieces can be crafted into a larger body of music.  I started to notice the way songs could flow together and impact each other and began making mixtapes for friends in middle school. This eventually led to an interest in music production and DJing.  I realized the positive effects sound had on me during my struggles, and once I started sharing music that was important to me with others, I recognized the powerful healing effects sounds can have for all of us.  In a way, this unlocked my first experience being involved in other people’s healing process and would later take on the DJ name ELEVNS.

My spiritual journey began in earnest fifteen years ago; after a serious injury caused me to reevaluate things I’d always taken for granted.  This shift in my perspective opened doors for me to step through and move past previous obstacles, creating new opportunities.  Synchronicities with the number eleven became frequent, guiding me with messages of patience and strength.  Elevens began appearing everywhere and became an important number for me, leading me to take on the name ELEVNS.  I would soon learn the true meaning behind these signs with this number.

A few years ago, I went to my first ayahuasca ceremony.  Seeking guidance about my future, my intention was to meet my spirit guide.  For some time now, I had sensed that my spirit guide was sending me signs to let me know that he was there to guide and help me.  After the first day, I wasn’t sure if it would happen because we did not meet.  I was learning how the plant medicine worked, and so staying strong with my intention, I went into the second day with the knowledge that one’s intention is everything.  As the medicine worked its magic, through my visions my guides appeared.

Every step in my life had led me to this moment, and it was an unbelievably powerful experience.  After they appeared, I felt myself being activated in a new way, and I realized that they were helping me become open to the healing energies.  Some refer to this type of experience as a “Kundalini Awakening.”  At last, for the first time in my life, I truly understood why I went through everything that I had up until now.  All the moments of love, pain, perseverance and suffering flashed before my eyes and connected to form a path to this moment.  That instinctual feeling that I had as a child suddenly became clear – I remembered that I was a healer.

After this beautiful weekend, I continued on my path to fulfill my destiny.  Since then I pursued interests in different healing modalities, becoming a certified Reiki Master Teacher and Kambo Practitioner.  I am now receiving my Masters in Counseling Psychology.  Being of service for those in need is a loving and familiar memory, and it is a true honor, privilege, and joy.
